From Remote Worker to Road Warrior: Winstanley’s New V.P. Gives Her Reasons Why

For the last twelve years, I’ve woken up, thrown on my casual attire (sweats, shorts, even jammies) and headed into my home office at the break of dawn, not driving even a mile.
With such an easy commute, why would anyone choose to suddenly change their work habits and begin driving 50 minutes to and from work to appear in a “regular” office?
My reasons were simple:

  •  My 17-year-old no longer needs – or wants –me home all of the time.
  •  I’ve known Nathan B. Winstanley since the eighties when we worked at GE Plastics together (there are no stories to tell so don’t ask; lips are sealed).
  •  I can continue working in my favorite industries (Commercial and Residential Building, Energy Efficiency, and Fire Safety), helping them deliver great education through many different delivery methods. The biggest change to this constant is, now, there is a whole team of experts with me.
  • I was born and raised in the Berkshires and feel like I have come home.
I’ve been here just a month, and I can’t totally describe how it feels, but in some ways it feels like I have been here forever. I enjoy my drive, I enjoy being able to see family members who live close by, and I enjoy the creative energy that exists in all of the hallways here.
I am no longer alone; I am part of a much bigger universe and I am excited to be here!  I know that together we can accomplish so much more than I could have on my own – Winstanley Partners has my back and I have theirs!
