Location: Washington D.C.

Agency Personnel: Creative Director Ralph Frisina

Subject: Spalding Sports and their new Spalding 94Fifty ball, NBA Authentics, and Spalding shoes and socks.

Talent: NBA stars

Mario Chalmers, Miami Heat

Jimmer Fredette, Sacramento Kings

Chris Singleton, Washington Wizards

Time frame: 48 Hours to Capture Video and Stills.

Day 1:

Departing Albany, N.Y. Where do you wind this thing up?

Entering the tunnel: Verizon Center, 9:30 P.M., after the Mystics game.

There’s nothing like having an NBA arena aalllll to yourself.

Day 2:

5:20 A.M.: Accident in front of the hotel. Truck runs over a cab and, because it happened in front of the treasury building, the Homeland Security Police are called in.
Always anticipate delays.

Practice facility lit at 7:00 AM … on schedule.

Mario Chalmers, measured up and out of make-up.

Some last minute shooting boards I drew up for the video crew based on some new information from the client… thinking on the fly.

Jimmer Fredette gets ready for the Spalding sock shots in the locker room.

We load up the gear and head for home by 1:00 PM.
Additional Notes: These shots offer a fast, grainy, glimpse of a Spalding NBA shoot; there wasn’t much time to waste while on set. This is a typical run-and-gun style shoot for Spalding Sports.
Stay tuned for the final shots when they’re ready for publication…
