Winstanley Partners Takes Best in Show at Albany ADDYs Competition

At a gala event on March 1, Winstanley Partners took home Best in Show honors, two gold and nine silver honors from the 2013 Albany AdClub ADDY Awards. Three of the winning entries are now advancing to the national level of competition.

 
Winstanley Partners won awards in several different categories including sales promotion, digital advertising, television, direct marketing, copy writing, and more. Among the winning entries were a television campaign for Pelican ProGear, a new line of rugged-use cases for consumer electronics; website design for GE Energy Storage, a new business division based in Schenectady, N.Y., and a wine label design project for Berkshire-based Balderdash Wine Cellars.     
This year’s Best in Show award was presented for the agency’s 2012 holiday mailer, a vintage-inspired card and lip-balm titled ‘Tannenbalm.’ The entry also took gold honors in the copy writing and self-promotion categories; ‘Tannenbalm’ will be presented for judging at the 2013 National ADDY Awards in June.
“Our winning ADDY entries this year represent work completed for a host of new clients,” said Nathan Winstanley, president and founder of Winstanley Partners and its sister company, Learning Solutions Winstanley. “That, plus the fact that we were recognized in a number of diverse categories, demonstrates our internal business reorganization in the last 18 months is meeting our clients’ needs and is starting to pay dividends.” 
The ADDYs recognize excellence in advertising and marketing across the country, and is presented by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) and locally by the Albany AdClub association of Professional Communicators. The AAF, a not-for-profit industry association, is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
