The Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival (IAF) is generally regarded as the most prestigious international advertising festival. It’s going on this week in the city of Cannes, France, with this year marking the 54th occasion the festival has been held. Although the festival also features seminars, workshops and social events for people in the advertising industry, the primary purpose of the festival is to present the Lion awards for the advertisements and advertising campaigns adjudged the best of the year. Although the award ceremony is held in France, the company that conducts the festival is British.
You can try to keep up with all of the winners, action and parties at Ad Week’s special new blog for the 2007 Festival in Cannes. It’s called LeFreaque. They’ve gathered a great group of guest bloggers from the industry — both jury members and general delegates — to keep daily logs of their experiences: the judging, the parties and everything in between.
Try to keep up… you’ll be exhausted!
