It’s nice when clients are people, too. Some are more than others. But many times we only get to see the business side of folks. However, there are those that tend to live their belief systems full-time, kind of like we tend to do at the agency. This is why we allow dogs into the building, as well as a certain level of entertaining mayhem whenever possible. For us, it’s about remaining creative and restraining some rather large personalities. After all, we are what we do to some extent and let’s face it – we’re at work a lot of the day. So it’s always nice to find clients who do the same thing and bring their passions into the work world.
Recently, Berkshire Money Management’s Allen Harris (President and Chief Investment Officer) came to us with a job that reflected both sides of his personality. While looking to gain exposure (which is why, of course, we’re involved) he also wanted to make some impact via radio for a good cause. Two good causes, actually. But that’s getting ahead of ourselves.
Berkshire Money Management Takes to the Airwaves
Remember those dogs in our office? He does the same at his with his three rescued basset hounds – Edith, Larry and Henry. Great names, no? He’s even built them a safe run on the property. Which points to the first cause these radio spots are about – the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter, right here in Berkshire County.
So here’s this financial guy, one we work with pretty often (who lets us make some pretty creative work, to boot) who wants to make some radio spots about an animal shelter. Is it good for his business? Sure it is. But is it also true to his belief system. Yes, sir. And hopefully it will really get some people alerted to the shelter’s needs.
Overall, it just feels nice when it’s not all profit all day, all the time. Especially from a financial guy. So we made this spot on the fly and tried to keep costs as low as we could for him. And there’s more. Well, not more that I’m going to tell you about – yet. For that you’ll have to stay tuned… just like everybody else.
But I will tell you this much, it involves both the Sonsini Shelter and a second organization in the community that’s closer to his other big passion – success. All in all, a great project for both of us.
