Playing Games At Work

Often people are sneaky at work and try to catch a game of online solitaire or poker in the afternoons. Well here, we were recently ASKED to play games at work.

We, along with sister company Lenox Softworks recently helped with the launch of Virus Alert 3D. The creative minds behind the game are the folks at Left Brain Games, who get to play (and develop) games all day long every day — that’s how they make their living.

Anyway, this particular game involves “Weird Al” Yankovic — yes, he’s still around — and his fight against pesky computer viruses. It’s actually pretty cool and we were happy to be involved in the testing and launching of the whole thing.

It also gave us a look into the world of gaming and a better chance to realize how and why companies from Skittles to Nestle Crunch are incorporating games into their everyday marketing plans. The official word for this would be advergaming.

Check out these other examples.

Now, onto the next game/project.
